About Northcoast Sound Machine

Northcoast Sound Machine is primarily a vehicle for owner Paul Seman to produce and distribute his original music.  Paul has been writing music for over 30 years, and now has a catalog of over 150 songs, which are gradually being produced at Northcoast Sound Machine as physical CD’s and digital downloads.  Genres include rock, ballads, experimental music, soundtrack music, comedy music, easy listening and so-called “smooth jazz.”  Commercial or corporate jingles are available to suit anyone’s needs, as all music is produced from start to finish right on the Northcoast Sound Machine premises.

Paul has co-founded and played in the following groups prior to turning to studio work:

The Teutonics (1981-1983):  This cover band played material from the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Beach Boys and Eagles, and other 60’s and 70’s rock and pop.  The Teutonics was composed of Paul Seman, Paul Blazek, Brian Baker and Steve Baker, with a second-year lineup of Paul Seman, Steve Baker, Craig Indoe, Jack Fisk and Janet Walters.

The Wind (1985-1987):  This band played throughout Ohio for two years, primarily 60’s and 70’s rock and pop music, gradually incorporating some original material.  Composed of Gary Neffenger, Paul Seman, Tim Guidish and Dave McGarvey, The Wind played Howard’s Club H at Bowling Green, the Lorain County  Fair, Ohio University’s “Hangar,” The Stone Jug in Kent, the 1001 Night Club in Akron, and many other venues.

Pan Harmony (1988-1990):  This steel drum and acoustic guitar duet (Paul Seman and Shelly Irvine) played restaurants and private parties, blending calypso and other Caribbean music with original arrangements of pop songs from the 1960’s, 70’s and 80’s.
